Need for Speed Underground Il-2 1946 Air Challenge Project
#1

Who would like to help me create a unique campaign for Il-2 1946?

I would like to merge "Need for Speed Underground" and "Il-2 1946" and fly races with Il-2 planes just like cars in Need for Speed Underground...
This is the main idea.

I would like to create exciting low flying challenges for Il-2 planes with obstacles, loops, ground and air objetcs (balloons?) and make like a race competition.

The introduction movie would have the NFS Underground music (very exciting).

The interlude movies would have the same kinf of music with exciting animations.

What do you think of this idea?

Nice idea, I must say. A bit different than just airracing.

Hello,

Well I should have mentioned that I thought also about racing within a city's area just like NFS Underground 1 or 2...See what I mean? Like flying real low passing through buildings at 300 mph, doing tight turns, loops, and that kind of things...

The problems is that we can't really fly through modern cities in Il-2 1946 :-) , but racing through WWII Moscow wouls be fine if only we had taller buildings....Maybe in 1945 New York which already had tall buildings?

Then we would fly at night (like in NFS Underground), with lots of lighting, traffic lights (possible?), and some kind of simple animation...

That would be the spirit

Then (I'm just dreaming here), you would start as a newbie on a crappya irplane and update spare parts to end up with the Typhoon...Let's say you just swap airplanes instead of adding upgrades..;I don't think one can do "tuning" to a WWII aircraft (well not on a PC game so far...Sad) )

Just provide me with the right maps , the right skins and planes and I will make the campaigns, trust me....

Yes!!! That is the spirit! Where can I download these tracks and missions/campaigns please?

But can we create tall building objects in the Il-2 1946 FMB? I wish I could recreate 1945 New York and fly there in the streets...

Take a look at these, I did them a while ago when our squadron had an "airrace season",
perhaps there's something in there for you:
