How are you supposed to take off from an aircraft carrier in dogfights? So far I've only been able to do it with the Hellcat.

It's tricky, true. The secret is: training! Of my 10 ten attempts with a guns-only-armed F4U, 5 failed. Until I got the hang of it.
The Seafire behaves a little better. Here's a link to a youtube video, I posted some time ago to show some buds how to do a base circuit on a carrier.
