Map texture request
#1

I wonder, can somebody make a texture for San Juan, Puerto Rico? Is it possible to make just part of the city, like the old fort area on the peninsula?

Because of the narow width of the peninsular it would be very difficult to make one from google earth as you would need to zoom in so close to avoid the sea area,
is this where you mean?

infact it probaly would incorporate just the fort

The peninsula has a couple of forts but I think the most important one is at the west end tip of the peninsula.
I'd mostly like to have that fort and its courtyard area.
I didn't think about the sea being a problem. Is it still possible to make?

I had a another look at the peninsular and still believe that its not possible to create a texture, even just creating the large fort on the end of the peninsular would mean zooming in so close that only the centre section could be captured, i think that your only alternative is to create by hand using objects, however although i've created many of my own textures i don't pretend to be an expert on this so maybe someone more experienced might have an idea, sorry i couldn't help you here.

it could be possible to cut the castle out of the picture and print it onto another texture (which obviously dont has water), e.g. stock green, or advanced city texture... whatever, and make it look like one texture.
A problem would then be to get the castle on the peninsula. This can only be done by testing and editing. (because the texture schould be seemless its possible by multiply 3 times, set it into a square, and choose the new centre and size. By long testing and patience it would work.

Yes, I think it might be able to be done but will take lots of editing and placing it on another land texture.
I can try to do it myself and since I'm the only one with the map then it's up to me to do the editing.
Thanks for all the input and ideas. I'll show a screenshot if I can get it to work.
