[VIDEO] Sow update 2010-04-30
#1

"Yesterday:

1C director Boris Nuraliev and Oleg Maddox demonstrate the Il-2 and
new computer technologies to the president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev.

Today:

There was some questions about rotating wheels on the ground models. Yes they are rotating, working suspesion (on tanks it is especially a bit simplified for the high FPS, but on cars - completely working in 3D models. However on tanks it is anyway looking like real in most cases)"

lol.. and sigh.. god, I love the attention to detail, but will I notice that wheels are turning, with working suspension, as it dissapears under my nose when I scream down at 300mph?..

This I find far more imformative.. some important points from Oleg. http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f...056558/p/2

If people are so happy seeing pictures of people who are 'high in society', maybe Oleg should phototshop a picture of him with the queen next week. Big Grin

I wouldn't suggest him to show it to our President, Luiz Inacio da Silva... he would prefer something more, ehr... alcoholic...

agreed!

to be honest, i'm getting a little disappointed with these updates:

a perfectly amazing tank/vehicle simulator.

uhm...where are the airplanes and THEIR respectively amazing features? :???:

i could really care less about vehicles with 'working suspensions' and antennas that sway back and forth.

if vehicles are THAT detailed, then for the aircraft there better be animated prop pitch changes, animated bugs hitting the leading edges of the wings, being able to see the difference when the tail wheel tire is 5 psi low, trim tabs actually moving, or see my groundcrew actually hand me my helmet and start the engine of my 109 with a crank. not to mention all the things that 1946 lacked out of the box....

i just hope that the 'flight sim' part of it is just so ridiculously amazing that they just can't possibly show it in its actual current glory yet....because riots would start in the streets...i just hope...
