any MODS of German carrier-based planes?
#1

A few years ago before there were any MODS available I asked about these German planes in the UBI forums. There were indeed some German 109s adapted for carrier use.
So my question is, are there any MODS for German or even Italian carrier-based planes?

I'm not very familiar with all the axis a/c so perhaps there is at least one out there.

There were ones being worked on, but they are dead.

No I think all the proposed mods have died along time ago.

Sounds like it's time for a DE carrier based 109 & Stuka revival

I agree. Why these MODS have not been made is a big question mark. The added dimension they would bring would be incredible.
And on the other hand, we have like 100 versions of the Bf109 but all non-carrier based!

It's going to be such a travesty to have to use Seafires in place of 109s! Maybe sacriligious too! Oh well, I need Luftwaffe carrier planes so a camapaign builder has to do what he's gotta do. Such a shame eh?

Yes and I believe there was also another plane built by Arado for use on the Graf Zepplin but it may have been Fiesler. They needed a STOL recon/light torpedo bomber.

But surely it isn't that hard for a modder to edit 3d model and make tail hook and then do the extra classfiles or whatever.

This is badly needed. But only covers early wartime.

If Graf Zeppelin is gona be truly operational, we need also at least one later german aircraft to be navalized and in fact the Fw190 is ideal for the strength of its landing gear and its multi-role capabilities. It would have been for sure adapted.

Hellzone actually had a working Bf-109T downloadable from an alternate site in early 2008. I downloaded and tested it, after removing included virus, it worked perfectly. He had a falling out with AAA more than once back in those days and then went off the radar screen.

It's a pity that this plane never came to full fruition at AAA. You say it included a virus? well we can do without that type of malicious activity.

Excellent Pete! It's not the real deal but it's a great substitute.
