4.08m mod crashes at 5%.Help me I've been trying for weeks.

Ok tell us what you have put on,

You should install like this for 4.08 mods
Stock 4.07 -> stock 4.08 -> English sound mod -> ac installer -> wrappers.dll
In that order?

But to be honest you should go HSFX 4.11

Delete Il-2,

Re-install il-2

The go like this,

4.07 -> 4.08 -> 4.09 ->4.09 skins -> HSFX 4.0 -> HSFX 4.1 HSFX 4.11

Yep, but between each step you have to launch the game to make sure it runs and the patch was correctly installed.

BUT get 4.09 skins from Mission 4 today as it adds new default skins for many planes,

My favourite the new default skin is the b-17 and Bf-109E-4 as is it grey NOT green and yellow like the old unrealistic default skin,

install straight over 4.09M

You said you are deleting the game.Are you going into the program files and deleting the game folder that gets left behind after you delete?you must do this because, there may be a corrupt file in that left over game folder that will mess up any new install.Did you install the 4.08m patch first?From another post
The 5% crash is usually a missing or corrupt .SFS file. It can happen if you install a sound mod, mod activator, or unified installer, without first patching the game to 4.08m.Also did you get your game from here direct2drive.com?You may need this (The link is inoperative)

I tryed ubi fix but when the downloading is over. Ubi fix is a bloke note text. I tryed to convert it with 7.zip but it did not work.

So I need a link to download 4.08,4.09,4.09 skins , HSFX 4.0 ,HSFX 4.1 ,HSFX 4.11

But I must get the 4.08 working before doing the rest.

Ok the 4.08 and 4.09 work so now I'm going to take care of the skin mod and the HSFXs
