Hmmm... I bought one 2 months ago and I'm not too happy about it.
1: You have to move the stick half way before it responds for going either up, down or yaw and it's not to be solved with the settings because you really feel that there is a large dead zone (mechanical).
2: The dual throttles never go higher than 109% and never lower than 1 % except if you push them real hard serveral times.
3: I bought it because you can easy dismount it and store it (for simming at my job) and after a few days dragging it along in my labtob case, a switch broke off.
4: The trim wheel is just a digital one, not an analog one, you might aswell use your mousewheel instead.
Think twice before you buy.

Saitek X52 Hotas Flight Controller System Joystick
A LOT of money but worth it because I want one with a throttle,
and THIS one has a Il-2 setting,

You save 60 pounds by buying logitec extreme 3D pro, it has throttle too and a profile program. It doesn't have that fancy LCD display, tho.
I use this joystick when I visit my oncle. It is a very god one with a lot of functions ond a lot of buttons. I think is only drawback is he move too easily (however I use an Hotas Cougar so all joystick move too easily for me).
Agreed with KG64, I have the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro since Xmas 2005 and it work very well, just don't chewed up the handle with "sudden and careless" pushes and pulls.
The cyborg is a humongous pile of garbage. It was nice at first, dual throttles, customizable handle and head on it, wheel for prop pitch control right at the top of the stick, but it was lacking a second trigger, and the damn thing goes out of alignment too fast. I had an issue where my rudder was stuck 30 degrees to the right, and I couldn't fix it, or trim it out in game. When you get the stick, its in two parts, the base then the handle, you have to screw in the handle to match up connector pins to the base, which is all sorts of screwy with miss-connections if you don't get it down tight.
Get a logitec extreme 3d pro. I'm going to get another one here soon, my old one lasted a few years before the spring wore out enough to the point that I couldn't shoot straight.
For Redko
The cougar is the best joystick that I have used. He is heavy and solid, it is a replica if the F16 joystick. If you broke a button you can buy it in a spare part. You will need a rudder pedal (saitek made a very good one).
The cougar has changed my game experience. However he has drawbacks (some difficulty of installations, no compatible with old games and expensive price).
I have used a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for about 4 or 5 years now (maybe a little less) and I'm on my second one. My first was purchased at Wal-Mart and broke only after about a couple hundred drops off my computer desk on to hardwood. Now my second one, like my first, I run all my aircraft games on it- IL-2 1946, Flight Simulator X, Rise of Flight, and some old crappy jet game. I love my Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and all my Logitech crap I have around. BTW This was typed on a Logitech G15 Keyboard.
I use Logitech 3d Pro, the one without feedback. I am on a 2nd one. With the first one the spring just wore out, so I did a mod which lasted me another 2 years. I am about to run out of warranty and do the same mod.
I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision Pro and it has spoiled me for any other joystick. I tried the Logitech 3D Pro and hated it.
After reading these posts it is clear that your joystick choice is a very personal one. Sort of like shoes or a similar item that is personal. Getting advice and feedback is always a good idea. I personally HAVE to have, a separate throttle. In my Opinion it is imperative for a separate throttle control within the flight sim realm. Just as I have to have a particular kind of shoe while I am working, because I am on my feet nearly 12 hrs a day. Maybe you do not need special shoes as I do. (Just to make the point)
I personally have the Logitech G940, I got this because I wanted a dual throttle control, and I wanted to "feel" the aircraft through the force feed back. I wanted to increase the immersive quality of the game.
I started with the first Saitek (don't remember the model) and used it till it fell apart. I have gone through several of the Saitek's (with the Throttle) and loved them all. I hated the Cyborg. It feels "Cheap"
Good Luck
