Quote:That is the wingfold sound. I could not hear anything.

It works at least with the F4U.

Yeah saw that and made sure I had those settings set

The cannon sounds might be that quite..

I do like my cannon sounds to be louder than normal

So it is most liky not an issue with the mod as much as a preference of mine

With that said

Can I simply modifie the WAV file to boost the sound of the P38 cannons?

If so, which WAV file does the P38 use for cannons?

Installed SAS wingfold patch for Tiger_33 sound mod. I get the wingfold sound, but only the 5 sec one. I changed to the wing.wav for 10 sec sound, but I still get the 5 sec sound. I installed the SAS button files, but still the 5 sec sound. I know I forgot something. So, could someone please give me a detailed install of this. I downloaded into MODS folder. Where exactly do I go from here. I've research this, but just am not getting this one. Any help greatly appreciated.

Seriously, uninstall everything, and try the links i provided and only these. SAS files are not original UV2 but cirx's vision of UV2. He did a good job at that time, but i'm afraid his work is obsolete, plus if you install things manually you're almost sure to screw up somewhere, and conflict with the clean install i provided.

I used that conf.ini and my external engine sounds are so loud, I can't hear my canons. I had original just put the files and presets folders in my mods folder and I didn't have this problem, so I may revert back to that install. It's funny, because inside everything is fine. I am using a sound-mod at SAS for the guns and this makes them louder internally Wink

Aces, I successfully managed to increase the volume of the hispano's externally, so maybe you can do the same internally?

Here's what i did, thanks to Riken over at SAS Wink

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/windows

Click on Audacity 1.2.6 installer (its free) and download it.

Now, go to Tiger's mod, the samples folder, and find the file that you wish to edit....external ones, as far as I can see, begin with a XX prefix (or something like that) the rest seem to be internal, unless they can't be used internally.

Anyway, open the file in audacity and change the volume; for me the volume metre was on the left-hand-side. Now save this as a wav file; put a '-' in front of the original file (so that if you don't like the new one you can revert back to the original one) and add the new one to the folder. Test it in game! Hopefully it should work, it did wonders for me, and now if I have some spare time I may choose to increase the volume of other files Wink

Cool Beans! Wink

Now if I can just find the P38 20mm sound file! Wink

It can be a matter of trial and error if you don't know the exact file name. The easiest way is to play the sound in the game, and then try the files which you think may match and see if they sound the same Wink

Try MG_64_25.wav for 20mm Hispano M2 cannon in P38
