Setting 'God Mode' on Windows 7
#1

Gents,

As some of you may know, Windows 7 has a 'God Mode' that can be enabled.
It's not exactly what you may think it is though, given the name.
What it actually does is give you access to every settings control in one easy to use section.

To enable it, create a new folder on your desktop. Then rename it with the following:

GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}

Use the entire name with the period, brackets, code etc... EVERYTHING
As soon as you hit enter, the folder with be renamed to just Godmode and will contain every setting you can think of.

This only works for Windows 7.
*** Use on Vista at your own risk!!!!

try doing a search on google, i know you may be sceptical but google has fixed all my problems, from .exe files turning into torrents, to games closing randomly!

I have this command enabled on my W7 64bit, I love it, a lot of options from one click. I tried the same command on my Vista 64bit gaming laptop, and the explorer would freak out about that command. I had to delete not using the windows explorer, but using the commands to start the winrar, as it can change the names of folders.

I named it DevilMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} and it works even better :twisted:

We all know that having too many icons on the Desktop can hinder IL-2 performance, RIGHT?

So take the God Mode icon and drag it to your Start button (keep it in drag mode-no pun intended). Next, drag it along the TaskBar to a spot just to the right of the >> symbol. Let go your mouse button. A small window will appear which will request what you want to do with it. Select Move Here.

If you dragged the God Mode icon correctly, then the icon is now in your Shortcut Tab instead of your Desktop. You can load the Shortcut Tab with as many icons as you wish with no hit against IL-2 performance.

Thanks, Jinxx for the tip. Big Grin
