Providing you don't have the whole game "Forgotten Battles" installed seperately to your "IL-2 1946", just copy the contents of your "IL-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles" folder into your "IL-2 Sturmovik 1946" folder. That should just about do it

I followed the procedur for installing HSFX 4.1 but the game doesn't start when I doucle click on il2fb.exe!

Here is what I did

1- Bought digital version of IL-2 1946 ongamesplanet.com

2- Patched to 4.08

3- Patched to 4.09 from this web site http://www.clubic.com (not from the 1C web site

Well, this has been requested a lot, so here is the simple guide to getting your game running with HSFX 4.1 (thanks to skyomish for this )

Patch the game to 4.09m using the official patches

4.08m patch http://patches.ubi.com/il2_1946/il2_1946_408m.exe

4.09m patch http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=10276

Then apply the HSFX-V4.0 and HSFX 4.1 mod pack ---

Et voila! You can now run with 4.1

whiskey, there should be a folder in your game folder now called "HSFX V4 Tools and Readmes" that has readmes and info on most all of the mods included.

What is "Hakenkruz Enabler" ? I can't find anything about that.

This allows the swastika to appear on the tail of Luftwaffe planes, as well as on the Finnish planes.

IIRC correctly, they are skins. To make sure, go into the jsgme-mods folder and have a look in there for the mod. You can view the files it contains, and see what's there. I am pretty sure though that I'm half-right
