The Pe-8 model in IL-2 has its cockpit canopy offset to the left and it looks strange. Was it really like that ?
Also, I have 4.08 and the Pe-8 bombsight won't work. Or so it seems.

Yes, like the Ermolaev Er-2, the cockpit was offset to one side. Soviet bombers had only one pilot, unlike British and US ones, so it was designed to give more space for the pilot ad bombardier in their separate compartments, as well as improve visibility.
The screenshots look fantastic! I really can't wait, flying a heavy night bomber on the Eastern Front, in winter, would be great! If we only had a map that allowed for the very long range aviation (ДБА) sorties from airbases in the Central Front, against targets in Finland!...

All russian community collect money to 3D modeller, which make this plane. It's cost 12 000 USD. Now collected 2400 USD.
It's fully official project. When it will be done, plane will be added in near DT patch.

British bombers, even the hevier ones, generally had only one pilot position.
