I recently installed Canon uk's channel map and read all 39 pages yesterday (TGI a holiday). I did all the solutions and the same result, CTD on the FMB, and when i try to load from missions the same thing, CTD. If it helps I have U.I 1.1 + pach, SAS latest buttons and basicly all mod from Ultrapack and Uranium Edition New Effects. :oops:

I know this is going to sound like a lot of work, but try reinstalling the game and use either HSFX 4.x or UP 2.x

I won't get into a debate about which is better, but I use HSFX 4.11. You'll get a good proper install with all the things you've already got in one package. Cannon's map is included in both packs.

I have had Cannon's map working in UI (sorry I can't remember exactly how I did it) and I have used it in HSFX and UP as well. The install in HSFX and UP loads and runs much more smoothly, and with better FPS, probably because it has been re-compressed to .sfs format. If you really want to use these maps, get one of the modpacks.

Iirc first you need to install CanonUK's channel40 map (the first one) because as far as I can remember the 2nd map uses a few objects from the first one
I assume this because I had this map installed and the 2nd one worked me for the 1st try (saved missions etc).
Dont ban me if I'm wrong but I think its worth a try

I I have thought of that option but i realy like my mods and i dont want compatibilty problems. (im slightly Conservitive , not politicaly)

Edit: i have found out that if i play the game on low settings its fine but on medium there is a CTD!!!. I have ATI radion HD 4770, 320HDD hardrive, 6 gig ram, AMD Athlon x2 7450 dule core processer. So it sould be fine, or do i need more? plus i have the airfields only vertions.
