When your're new (or not) to a forum it's best to search before posting dupe requests.

It is cool

But sadly that design never made it off the napkin it was scribbled on

Let alone a blue print

Let alone a prototype

Let alone production

In short a dream that remained a dream

If you like flying wings that could carry a payload across the pond

Than one should request the Northrop YB-35

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/YB-35

In that it did make it off the napkin it was scribbled on

Onto a blue print

Onto a prototype that first flew in June 1946

Onto limited production as the jet version YB-49

And some 60 years later it's design was the foundation for the Northrop B2 bomber design

The YB-35, YB-49, and B2 all have the same wingspan of 172 ft (52.2 m)

In short a dream that became reality

That's true but even though Northrop was experimenting with flying wings before WWII, we on the Internet know all aeronautical advances owe their existence to German aviation from the war years. Perhaps Northrop merely copied them from his future. Maybe he got a hold of a German time machine and traveled back to the future in a Mercedes Benz with der kaput kapacitor?

Dupe: abreviation of the adjective duplicated
