Hello Like someone suggested I decided to try modelling a cockpit for my tank mod and so I made a little test one, Just took some meshes like the stick and pedals and throttle and placed them in a nice tidy order and I use the Buggy Buggy Exporter script in Gmax and I click export but it only lets me save it as .P3D files. I need them as a mesh or 3ds file so IL-2 can use them.

I followed the instruction in the tools section on this site that DM posted but it only lets me save it as a .P3D file. Help is greatly appreciated.
Or should I just download 3ds max trial and use that instead or is Gmax fine for the job?

Or should I abandon this and just do some hier.him editing and import those meshes into my cockpit folder?

Did you try with this tool?

My buggy exporter makes a text which I just copy to the .msh file
