Higher Resolution ?
#1

From Fireskull: Sticky Topic was made here because such good conversation and solutions for getting higher resolution are provided.

Hello All!

I was wondering if there is a way to get a higher resolution other than 1152x864. My monitor will do 1440x900 but the game does not allow it. Any help would be great, thanks :-? .

Open your conf.ini file.

Change the following:

[Window]
width = 1152 change to 1440
height = 864 change to 900

Then save your conf.ini

You must do this manually. If you open the il-2setup.exe and try to change it that way, it will revert back to the games max.

S!

P.s. You can use the mod shown above but it will not change your resolution to what your wanting and it will cause some problems with selecting bases. No real problem, just an irritant.

Hello, Pappy

This was definately a question not unique to HSFX, so I moved it from the HSFX forum to this IL-2 Technical Help forum where it should go.

Pappy, the title of your topic and the solution was so good that I made this a Sticky Topic, since we get many questions about resolution.

This might only be a temporary Sticky until someone, such as {HVY-E} Jinxx, makes a comprehensive guide for all IL-2 users. (Hint - Hint - Hint :wink: )

ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0

Saveaspect=1 forces 4:3, to get widescreen put it to 0.
