He-280 Mesh Export Help
#1

So I've come to a standstill with my He-280. I've the CF_D0 level complete in all materials including shadows, hooks, collisions, everything.

I can export individual simple pieces of the plane into the game, for example the wings or a stabiliser, but when it comes to the CF_D0 level I just haven't a clue. Can anyone talk me through the process of going from 3DS max to the final product? I've wasted so many hours trying and the results have been frustrating...

If anyone can help I'd be thrilled! thanks

I believe you have to apply Texture Mapping etc before the game will load the mesh???

Make sure all Parts are individual.
Ok You have to Copy the Text for each LOD, Shadow, Collision, hook etc out of the Listner and into a Text Document and call it CF_D0.

Then I assume you have basic knowledge of Mesh Text Strucutre.

Alright open the CF_D0.txt and save it again as CF_D0.msh.

Open the Mesh in the Mesh Converter and Click File>Save To Hier.

Then assuming you have basic knowledge of the hier.him you can fill in the lines that are missing.
Eg: Parent etc.

If you cannot figure it out then send the .3ds file to me and I will try.

great thanks! I didnt realize that each piece of the CF_D0 had to be copy pasted into the same text file. I've been toying with individual ones trying to combine them all somehow. Cheers

Can we see a picture of the CF_D0? Tongue

For now you should just take the Me-262 Slot until somebody makes a new slot. Because at least then you can see it in-game.

Just Extract the Me-262 Cockpit from the SFS and put it into .../MODS/He-280/3do/Cockpit/Me-262

Alright and name the Folder MODS/He-280/3do/Plane/Me-262A-1a

Place the He-280 CF_D0 in there and assuming we don't need the rest of the Me-262 Files it might work.(if it doesn't work then grab all the Me-262A-1a files from the SFS and replace the Me-262 CF_D0 with yours.

If all fails to prevail then please send it to me, I am very interested in getting this and other Experimentals in game. Smile

Yeah I have the me262 cockpit... So far ive managed to replace every 262 part with one of my own except for the CF_D0 level. Is there some fundamental thing I'm missing out on? When I load the plane in QMB and try to view it all that is displayed is a blue viewer window.. yet when I remove the CF_D0 i get my entire He-280 with the me262 CF_D0 stuck on it... Its rather frustrating.

Any suggestions would be welcome.

The class files are the 000C83E4025B78FC files, extract them with the class resolver from the tools section of this forum, then just open the class files with jext and search the right files.
