Adding a new campaing folder?
#1

First of all, I had no idea where to put this, so, if it is in the wrong section, I appolgise Smile

I think this has been awnsered before, but I've searched and can't find it (yes I used the search function).

When you want to start a campaing, you choose between diffrent county folders, and you select a rank and then chose a campaing. Is it possible to make your own folder and name it "Swedes Campaings" (or something like that), make your own ranks and add medals?* If it is possible to do this, how do I do it?

*Can diffrent medals from diffrent coutires be mixed? Like medal no.1 from Finland, no.2 from USA and so on.

Now I'm no expert but Yes It is possible.

First go into.
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 SAS\Missions\Campaign\
Then Create the Folder "Swedes Campaings".
Create Your Campagin Missions etc in the FMB and then save them in that Folder.
Go into one of the country folders and Copy and Paste "campaign" file into your folder, open in Notepad and put the names of your missions in the order you want them to occur.
Also in any of the Country Folders Take these Files, award(Order in which awards are given)
Also in the other country folders you should see all their Awards pictures etc and related files, For example you wanted Medal 1 From Finland, so go into Finnish(FI) Country folder and take award0.mat file and the award0 Image file and stick them in your folder, do the same to get another Medal From US folder and make the changes to your award file that we took earlier.
Now take the rank file(Order of Ranks that you choose) out of any counrty folder and replace the ranks with Swedish ones.

I think that is it but like I said I am no expert and so am only making an educated guess but one of the other experts will be able to help you out.

Ok well I'm sure there are some small things you may still need but we will see how it goes.

Static campaigns work okay with this method, I've made test versions for Vichy French and Turkish nations, but dynamic campaigns won't. That will need some programming genius to fix.
