FMB menu screwed up
#1

Recently went to try and resume making a custom campaign I'd had to put on the back burner, and got a nasty little surprise - the File menu is completely hosed! The only entry on it is "Exit", and that doesn't even work. I have to do the three-finger salute to even exit the program.

I can't think what I possibly could have done besides add and activate the mod "Little Effects"...but surely that can't be the culprit?

Any ideas on how to fix this - BESIDES reinstalling the whole thing including HSFX 4.11 from scratch?!

Make the LITTLE EFFECTS DEACTIVE in the JSGME.

Then try your game.

It didn't work.

Is there somewhere I can download the FMB files and replace mine?

Have you made any other added mods?? In the last few days.
I have to ask you do have that little effects in the JSGME?
You never said.

No. Did switch a couple on, and somewhere along the line my ESC key quit working and the mouselook in viewing went whacky. Had to readd a couple lines to a .ini file, which fixed them perfectly. Perhaps they screwed this up too?'

And yes, Little Effects is in JSGME. Works peachy-keen, too.

What files are related to the FMB? Can I download FMB+ somewhere on here? I searched but I can't find a DL link.

About the FMB- to be honest I dont know if you can DL that by its self.
Wait until the AM maybe some will give you an answer then.
Sorry I was of no help.

May I post my problem here? It is also FMB related. The console pops up randomly when trying to zoom, some icons sometimes stay hidden, and when I place even one thing to the map my FMB FPS drops to 1.

Hello, Dark-Star

I moved this to the IL-2 Technical Help forum where it belongs.

8FS_Bulau is fairly knowledgeable about IL-2 technical issues. I recommend sending a Private Message to him and get him in this topic to help you.

KG64_Cnopicilin,

Please start your own topic.

Well, that sounds like your conf.ini got hosed, and probably more than just the couple lines you were able to fix. There is a whole whack of stuff in there for the FMB, and also another file called bldconf.ini so find your backup of your game (you did make a backup, didn't you?) and replace those files. Even ones from stock game would do for start.
