Is there any way to see? 60% Crash
#1

Is there any way to see whats going on behind the splash screen? I need to see what is causing this 60% crash, I have been through the Air.ini and re dl and installed the buttons file. I have removed the MODS from JSGME and disabled the newest mods. Everything was running just fine till I tried that Camera Ship mod.

Is there a Console to view as the game is loading?

Thanx

Camera ship affects air.ini, doesn't it?

Have you deleted the camera ship lines there?

Even one spacebar too much can crash the game...

Well just to see what you are talking about I downloaded the said camera ship mod and installed it to my desktop. It appears that if you installed it directly to your game then it overwrote your original air ini file in your STD/com/maddox/il2/object folder and also your original plane ru file in your STD/i18n folder. Now with that being said it's not going to matter how many mods you pull out or even if you take all mods out if you don't have a certain mod plane installed that's in that new air ini then your going to get a 60% crash, you have to double and triple check that new air ini and make sure you have ever last plane installed that's listed on it, also check your plane ru file that one doesn't matter as much as the air ini but,it wouldn't hurt to check it just the same. Here's some real bad news for you, not that it could be any worse than it already is but,I think if you were running a install with the 4.09m patch installed you'd be better off just to reinstall your game because, after further review of the air ini that comes in this camera ship mod I don't see any of the new planes from the 4.09m patch on it.I don't know weather it's pre 4.09m patch mod or not but,I sure don't see any of those new plane on it.I know what your going through and I feel your pain,Ive been down the same road your on and it's taught me a valuable lesson, never install a self extracting mod directly to your game always install it to your desktop and then do a manual install. That way you know where things are being installed and if your game crashes you can remove the offending mod from your game.I can also tell you that if installed properly this mod does work. Its fixed!

The way to see the config.ini in action -so to speak- is logging it. The site that I was directed to had a response that instructed how to do this, so I did it. I didn't see EXACTLY what the deal was, but there was no mention of the MOD that allegedly cause the problem. So before re-installing I tried a system restore point. Because there was a lot of stuff in that log that pointed to video resolution errors and a java error then all stopped. I did this two or three times to be sure. The system restore point worked.

Thank you all who responded. I learned a good lesson... no more auto install stuff.

Thanx
