X-52 Profiler software Crashes.
#1

This made my day today. My X-52's profiler will no longer work spontainiously of its own damn accord.

Computer's OS is Windows 7 64bit.

Situation:

I open the Profiler on my task bar and it no longer has my profile for 1946. I open profiler and it crashes on startup.

What I've done:

Ran the files under XP or Vista. = Failed.

De-gutted the whole system of the programming software and drivers, and downloaded and reinstalled them. = Failed.

And no where has real valid answers.

Can any one help me?

Ciph,

It sounds like a hardware mulfunction to me, probably in the X-52.

Can't be. Stick works fine. While the control panel was (no longer runs either now) every thing responded.

Sticks being detected VIA control panel...

The software part of the system should be good to go unless you have corrupt file somewhere when downloading.

I have heard of RAM partly malfunctioning and thus cause strange things, but if other software works fine, then that would eliminate RAM as the cause.

Did your system receive a very recent update? Sometimes updates have corrupt file or a gliche in the update software.

Nothing I no of. It worked fine yesterday. Only thing that installed yesterday was I-tunes update. Can't see that conflicting.

Problem is I can system restore either.

Pretty much saying to me "F**k me sideways"

Bloody computers. Need a right old boot some times.

Is it possible that your anti-malware attacked a file in the software and you didn't see it? That actually happened to me with IL-2 one time.

Never had anything quite that severe, but my Profile and Profile Editor do refuse to work every now and then, especially if the USB has been unplugged. The X45 was the same, and both sticks have done it with XP and Vista . The only way out of it is to re-install both the Profiler software and drivers, although you've already done that.

Not sure, Maybe the case... But as I said. I degutted the whole system of software (whether its lefover or what not) and reinstalled. That should of technically solved the problem.

One would think so.

Ciph, perhaps you should see online if there is forum for Saitek which is big enough to give you quick response to your question.

Let us know how you solve this, okay?

Saitek's forum is soo small. And so inactive that im in a moderation cue. and 90% of posts date to 2007 on the first page of threads. There are 2-3 threads that are 09, and one which is for this month!

Im screwed I think...

Good Morning HH_Cipher,

if I may ask, are you registered at the Saitek forum?
Then and there you'll find a lot of hinds about un- and reinstalling the Saitek software.
For example: http://www.saitekforum.com/showthread.php?t=7101
First of all make a backup of your profiles! 8)
Don't bother the date of these threads there - they've got once the same problem!

Without a cause nothing happens - even with these &%/%& computer!

Wish you luck!
