1/72 Yak-3 Heller (vintage kit)
#1

I recently purchased several 1/72 kits in a stock, and this old kit was among them. I couldn't find any date on the box, nor on molds and instructions sheet, but it looked SO old that, possibly, real Yak-3s were still in service at the time it was made! Tongue
Nevertheless, I found plastic molds to be of pretty high grade, with a nice detail level and good fitting of the parts.
Decals sheet, instead, clearly showed its age, as it all had turned somewhat yellowish. Only main markings were featured, and the set was intended to reproduce just one plane, belonging to "Normandie-Niemen" group, with the only optional choice among two alternative fuselage numbers.
Since I wanted to reproduce a generic Russian unit, I left the tail without insigna. Maybe I'll add red stars there when I have them. Anyway, I'm not a historical accuracy maniac, and I feel quite satisfied with the result:

Again, colors are "stock", with final matt transparent spray cover. I hope to keep improving with next models.

Come on you too, show your creations! Let's boost this model corner! Smile
