AAA mod
#1

Hi. I have recently modded my IL-2 1946 with Ultrapack 2 and have inproved a great sim into a wonderful one, and have been downloading missions for UP from Missions4today,and until now no problem.

But I have just downloaded " Darwin Defenders,US P-40's over Australia 1942 " which the author says that this campaign requires that you have installed the AAA mod and a Darwin map 1942-43 to be able to run the mission successfully, [ I'm not sure what a AAA mod is,or how to install ]

Can these both be obtained from this site, and if so , are they a straightforward install into 1946, I need to know this for future missions that require the same.

Thanks.

JM.

First welcome jeffmorgan to AAS IL2 site Smile

It would be nice to know what AAA mod he is talking about
If its the old AAA UI then that has been put into HSFX and UP
Uses HSFX, now as for the map have a look in the map forum
Of this site, if you dont see it there then make a post in the
Map mods discussion part of that forum.

Thanks everyone for the infomation, I have downloaded the Darwin map supplied by Grumpy, before I proceed, this is what was displayed originally when trying to fly "Darwin Defenders" a map of Darwin and a mission brief, but when clicking the fly button the message- " Mission loading failed, string index out of range:1 " was shown ?

Before I delete and try again, where do I install this correct Darwin map, does it just install into: program files/ubisoft/stumovik1946 or is there a map section ?

Thanks for your help

Don't delete anything, the Mission loading failed, string index out of range:1 error message is easy to fix.Just open the mission file up with notepad and delete everything in the house section of the mission, you should then be able to fly the mission.I'm not sure what you patched your game up to before you added Ultrapack 2 but, if you don't have a mods folder you may need one of these viewtopic.php?f=84&t=30828 before you can add any new maps or mods.

Hi, JM and welcome to our community website Smile

Since this topic is not entirely unique to UltraPack, I moved it to IL-2 Technical Help forum from General Discussions forum.
