Heng long Tiger. Chinese quality control is an oxymoron - just like the real thing I guess , they break down a lot!. (Hell I could buy a car for the price of the Tamiya.)

Fitted metal gearboxes & tracks , red dot laser sight housing fitted - just need to pop diode in and light switch to turn off headlamps. Repaired smoke unit- none of the HL ones seem to work out of the factory.

Just used a bottom of the range Badger 250 (after returning a faulty Revell airbrush).

Used enamels on metal parts and rest Vallejo acryllics, though mixed a little builders PVA in basecoat for a better bond to the cheap Chinese plastic.

do the treads actually work?

Everything works!! (mostly - as I said bad quality control so smoke unit needed fixing also were dry joints on battery connector) .

Plastic tracks and sprockets were replaced with metal upgrades, along with gearboxes and motors- though not the 4:1 reduction ones I'd requested.

Guess I'll post a vid when all work completed. Wink
