is there anyway to turn tracer smoke off? cause when i put AA on the ground and it fires at other aircraft the smoke always make me lag and im soo sick of that :|

We need to know what specific game and what mod pack - if any.

Now that the website here has expanded so much with different games and mod packs, this is important. Please don't take for granted that we know which one is the area of the question.

In your conf.ini file, you should be able to reduce the effects of the AA guns. Look for Effects= in the file and reduce whatever it is by a number of one.

After you are done making any kind of graphics changes, you should make the conf.ini file into READ-ONLY status. Conversely, you should undo the READ-ONLY status to make any changes.

On the other hand, if there are too many AAA guns, then reduce the number of them to the amount that makes the game run smooth enough for you.


Sure, there is a way to turn the tracer smoke OFF, but that is technical and I will leave the answer to a modder who has done it. There is no switch or setting for it, but it has to be modded. A specific mod which does what you ask might exist, so keep searching and asking.
