The Hunter will need some opposition: it fought on the same side as the Mig-17 !!

Whaddaya mean? Egypt? 'Cause the RAF never had MiG's...
Anyways, I could spend a whole evening, just cruising with this beauty! German Aero Mag "Flug Revue"
once gave her the name "Miss Jet" and that's what she is: the most beautiful and elegant of all jets! *sigh*

The pack will feature 2 x Mig-17 Fresco's...

See the dogfight with Mig-17 in Vietnam:

Dogfight 10 minutes 1 crusader against 6 migs; bottom line: no air kill; last call, a mission that becomes 'survival'...

The pack will also include lot of missiles, including Sidewinder and Atoll; the
video demonstrates a case of failure for both systems...

I tried, few days ago, the Jet Era 1956 pack and it works pefectly (Il2 4.10.1 with SAS activator 3.02 or 3.04b). Tongue

Lots of missiles in there!!! Confusedhock:

Contains all Mig15s, Mig17s and sabres... 8) featuring improved avionics+cockpits+FM+ armements over older mods.

Can't wait for the new birds add-ons ! :-? :-? :-? :-? Arrow :Smile)

future add-ons (e.g. F-86D, Hawker Hunter, MiG-21, F9F Cougar etc). Smile

Note that UP 3.0 is now out, and includes the basic Jet Era 1956 pack in it. Smile :o plus other jets...

Idea You know what would be fun: if this mod pack were to be made into a game, you know, to continue the franchise. I think IL-2:1956 sounds like a good name for it, having many of the planes that were either still in service or making its debut in the years between early 1947 and late 1955. Complete with multiple variants of certain airplanes ( e.g. Hawker Hunter, F-86 Sabre, and the MiG-15) 8) , and its own maps, like the Middle East, the Indian-Pakistani border, and obviously East and Western Europe.

Oh, one more thing, maybe a few fictional NATO vs. Warsaw Pact missions and campaigns would be a nice touch.

P.S. I'm only saying this as a suggestion, but I like to hear your opinions as well. ( I wonder if Ubisoft would accept this idea :?: )

Looking forward to this too. Indian Air Force Hunters versus Pakistani Air Force Sabres. 1965 over Kashmir. There's some good dogfight potential right there gents.
