How about using this sound for the Bell P-39's 37mm cannon? I see the 37 being used for an aerial cannon, but in RL it was not very effective as an aerial cannon because of its velocity. Chuck Yeager joked that the cannon's velocity was like throwing a grapefruit.

The firepower demonstration was stunning!

For many pilots, yes, what you say is true, but some pilots loved the P-39 and found the 37mm very effect in air to air shooting. Alexander Pokryshkin was an ace who preferred the P-39 even over the La-7. He was the second leading ace for the Allies in WW2. Once in a show for commanders who were on the ground, he intercepted a flight of German bombers in plain sight and shot down 3 of them in one pass!

Each pilot is unique, for sure, so the P-39 is not for everybody.

I liked the sound of the gun in the video and the beefy engine, too.
