Gerhard: I use the carsmaster water mod, I got it from SAS:

Page 15 the latest version, if you use that one I recommend to manually disable the "FoamCurve3 RAW" by renaming to "-FoamCurve3 RAW" or by deleting it. (Tip by Ribs. )

The previous version is also quite cool...hard to tell any difference at all.

The mod (all versions) will reduce your system's FPS a tad at fair and poor weather settings, but with a powerful card that is no problem.
I take the slightly slower render for a much better image, also at sunny weather the water still looks better (?) and no extra load on the card is noticable.
