When I first saw a link to AAA in a Youtube video showing some Mods for Il-2 I was amazed by how busy it was, and how many Mods were on the Site :OO You and many other have made Il-2 Sturmovik from "Just a flight Sim" to, "The Ultimate Second World War Flight Sim" I cannot thank you, and people people like you enough
Good Luck getting back in touch with the people you left behind

Hi all
I have a secret, that I have kept secret till now :|
I was in an art lesson (A week before all the good bye threads started) and we were asked to draw something close to us. I decided on many things, but in the end I decided AAA was out of all the things I chose, was the closes thing to me. I drew our old logo, the Messerschmitt, and wrote All Aircraft Arcade. Then underneath I wrote Planemad in bold italic font.
Coloured it in in Black and Red, and thought it looked very nice, I was pleased with it.
Then, less than a week later, I logged on to find all these good bye threads
Its sad in a way, but like all things, it had to be
I will try and find my drawing to show you all

I was here from the birth and creation of AAA to the current All Aircraft Simulations. Some of my fondest memories were creating the site, many, many hours were spent to do so. Salute to the original crew and we know who we are. And Deutschmark thank you for carrying on a fine tradition.

This site changed my Il-2 life! It also changed my actual life - I became a lot less productive as i added more Mods, fixed CTD's , saved various versions & learned to do complete re-installs after I had screwed things up...and continue to do so!
Wouldn't have missed it for the World! The Best thing that ever happened to Il-2 Sturmovik!
( eventually I look forward to the wizards of Modding doing the same thing for Cliffs of Dover!)

For me IL2 resurection was this good old ENGLISH SOUND MOD !
I explain : I mean resurection because I was on IL2skins.com as 'a very-active downloader' ;o)
I remember a lot of very talented skinners over there Harpia, MrJolly, Fireskull... 8)
I have still all those skins on my external drive
So when I discovered AAA (and SAS) I remember all the time i passed trying to have a modding version, screwing up, retrying... I was not alone ;o)
ENGLISH SOUND MOD, SFX Version, Wrapper.exe... Just for the eyes ;o)
I still have somewhere all those versions of AAA Mods activator... My nightmare when I slept was this figure : 60 %
I was waiting patiently after hours of installation/backup/re-installation : 5%, 10%, 15%... 60% CRASH
OMG!!!! Have to do another installl... I will never play the game.... lol
I can imagine the time you passed to code those files in order to allow us to use your mods into il2 ;o)
THANK YOU ALL FOR THE HARD WORK YOU DID FOR US !!!!!
And Thanks Rad for this nice thread
Ted ;o)

Ah, I remember the "iron curtain" between the knowledge and people who wanted to know how to make mods
Also, "the engine can't handle supersonic speeds" and other stuff proven false many times.
