So the discussion the other night down the pub was, what in the world in this thing in China!!!

1st image is of the whole site and the 2nd image is a close up of the runway / road / tarmac ???

One of the mate said he had found it on another web site and showed us all to see what we thought and some other people being a bit nosey lol also got involved in what they thought it was. Some of the things we / they came up with where; Its a new kind of airport layout, Its a UFO base (not kidding one guy said "Strange theirs a UFO base in China cos they all ways land in the U.S.", Missile base (both Anti-Air and ICBM where mentioned), Its the start of the Death Star, Radio Telescope, Ionospheric heater (had to look this up and why that guy came out with that I'll never know), Space centre of some sort, some sort of vehicle test centre.

Personally that's what I think its, some sort of advanced driver / vehicle test centre but I don't know what the shiny doughnut rings are about!!!

What do you think AAS?

I'm trying a "rational" guess...

The hangars on the south suggest that is (or at least was) an airbase, whose strips have been adapted for heavy vehicles testing (lots of parked trucks and tyre tracks). Also note that the whole complex is relatively close to main roads and residential areas.

Most of the mysterious 8-figures appear to be made of a pair of parallel tracks, that could mean, off-road driving tests. Why do some of them shine with light? Maybe the picture has been taken either at dusk or dawn, therefore with a long exposure time, while some vehicles were driving off-road 8-figures with the lights on.

Or, maybe, it is the Chinese version if the Area 51 with a severe UFO traffic problem. But, seriously, I don't think the Chinese government would be OK with Google showing that!

Agreed Smile

The only other things that popped into my head is if the image was taken at dawn could it be water reflecting the light because a dirt road to the left of the base has the same effect going on and as for mysterious 8 figures, well other then some strange test could they just be really board and decide to take up drifting lol

Yeah the Chinese government probably would not be impressed with Google Earth at all, but then again it doesn't take alot to unimpress them any way especially when you can see things like this :wink: ;

Whenever I see these weird structures, I wonder if Chinese make them just to keep GoogleEarth freaks entertained while they keep constructing the real secret stuff in another less conspicuous place. Big Grin

Well you definitely not lost it, so I would say your right because I thought it could be the Q-5 Fantan which is a Chinese development of the Mig-19 Smile

Governments have been building important stuff underground since the cold war. There's no reason for them to act differently now, in the satellite age.

Ok guys Serpiko has it ! 8)

Circles are tracks made by tanks or trucks: we always see the 2 tracks left by them. You often sees this kind of tracks in the military areas where Regiments are equiped with tanks. Moreover the width is the same (look at the size of trucks on parkings, that corresponds).

Tracks on the runways and the tarmac are markings to guide vehicles when planes are parked. You can also spot the tracks left by tires in the bends.

The luminosity it could be the reverberation of snow or something like that. Big Grin

The strange tracks, a driver who drank too much sake !

UFO's... :Smile)
