They can be converted back to IL-2 1946 format but they may not work proper on the plane in IL2 1946.

Re: Making 120min film/movie about the Battle of Britain,
it would take many months if done to cinematic quality and the file size would be enourmous,that said it would be great to see one made.
The guys at Wingman Productions who Did the Il2-1946 Movie
Faith,Hope & Charity which was about an hour long could
give a more realistic Time scale.
Their Movie was a Collaboration between many people with various skills
so reducing the Production time, even so still a very lengthy process.
