I'm afraid it is not possible now (3d models editing not solved out yet). And if yes, those mates who have know-how are against editing flight models - it's a room for cheating. IMHO we should wait some time (until we are able to edit 3d) and then make a pool with simple qestion: "Do you want Spitfire Mk.I ?" Now we could make only Spitfires Mk.IB and Mk.IIB, if somebody knows how to add plane. Maybe not even this si possible. In general i am against FM editing besides of adding new planes (early Spitfires, Liberators - B-24 with removed most of armor to spare weight for extra fuel and equiped with .303s instead of .50s, Ju-88A-1 - A-4 with 7,9mm guns instead of 13mm, Bf-109E-3 - E-4 without armor plate behind seat etc.).
even "porking" plane is cheating....cant mess with FM/DM things, even if u degrade performance in areas to produse a "new" plane, or a variant of another one
maybe with 405 version, that seems to have unlimited hack potential, ppl can have "fixed" planes
persoanlly, im not so interested in that, id not scream bluew murder if i found out ppl had completely messed about with 405 in the most extreme ways.....but id not be intereste4d in it

I want the spit mark 1.
Why? Engine stops in negative G, it has very pood climb rate, no armour on fuel taks, no Hispanos, can't outdive any German fighter.. People of GB were wery lucky to win BoB. Not for the Spitfire, big wings, small wings or radar, but for the Hitlers and G
You'd be best waiting (however long it may be) for SOW, for a Mk1... editing a plane like that, will lead to the unmentionable.
My idea was to "clone" Spit mkV and then change engine parameters, power, negative G cutoff, ... and aircraft, weight, fuel, ... to create Spit MkII (we do not have an A wing in the game).

Even simpler would be to remove the Hispanos and replace with earlier 8 .303 machine gun armament...that would be the Mark Va, Bader's preferred mount.
hehehe, well i dont know if my baby could run it - but by the time that game is released - I'd be surprised if any of us could remember our names.
