I was wondering if we could get an early P-51D Mustang. The Factory did not install the Dorsal fin
on Mustangs untill the P-51D10. So I was wondering if the tail of P-51B or C could be added to the
P-51D-5NT?

Bump. Would like to see this mod too.
i agree... and actually requested this a while ago, but it fell into the abyss that is the second page...
id also like to see a painted b25j nose
no, he means -J, as in a solid-nosed one.
BTW, I agree with both the above requests...
yes i meant the B-25J, and the C model as well for good measure.

Somethin's odd lookin'. Almost looks like the tail is too long. Effect of the removed dorsal fairing I presume?

Actually it should be called the fin fairing. Like in this picture:
You see that the first and last P-51D have the fairing, but the third one doesnt. It was added to later model P-51D's and some RAF Mustang III's to aid in yaw stability at higher speeds.

This removes the dorsal fin from all D5 models as the dorsal fin was added from the D10 onwards. This change doesn't affect the D20 as it uses a separate model.
I'll post this to Mr Jolly for checking
Wow, that was quick!. Superb job, well done.
That looks great. I hope it is avialable soon. Thank youu.
