PATCH 4.08 AAA NOW!!
#1

My dear friends!
I think I should join all MODS that cause can fly all aircraft OF THE GAME
Including the last mod sound
And build a PATCH
For this PATCH be welcome by all
Should be amended version of the flight of some aircraft that are unfair
As P-36A3 and A4 and MS-406 and 410
I suggest to amend the speeds of them maintaining the other characteristics equal
PATCH to make more realistic!
Speed of P-36A3 = F2A2
Speed of P-36A4 = F4F3
Speed of MS-406 = B239 or F2A1
Speed of MS-410 = F2A2
That would be very good for all (including those who dislike of MODS)
This patch of course would do much success
And how it would be done by you (administrators of AAA)
Avoid that other people who are irritated by the performance of these aircraft unfair make changes

Unofficial Patch?
Good ideia, more centralized modding.

Not a bad idea, all the mods rolled into one patch. I would like to see and auto-installer to make it easy for those who don't know where each file is supposed to be placed.

This would make it much more attractive to those who are more than a little intimidated by installing some of these MODs. Bring more floks into the fold so to speak.

.... not so good idea IMHO ....

Most important benefit of mods is that user can choose what he likes and what his system can handle and disregard the rest of it ...

Who would decide which mods/changes should be included in that patch and on what system should it be tested ?

...there is no way everyone will be happy with contain of that patch ( proved by every official patch published so far ...) . It will provoke endless discussions and requests/complains by users....

....again , only way to keep all users satisfied is to let them choose by them self

regards,
Z

A generalised patch has been discussed before, and the same reasoning against then, is the same as it is now. As Fly_Zo has stated, not everyone likes everything. People like to chop and change, and choose what they want, and what their system can handel.

Say for example Josse's long range mod saw completion and was encorporated into a standardised patch - I can garranty you that within 30 minutes of a generic patch being offered, you would have multiple posts whining on about how they now have 1fps.

Having the oportunity to pick and choose, and to basically CUSTOMISE your game to how you want it is whats made this site, and her mods, so succesful.

So no, I dont believe its a good idea. Already we have two official versions (albiet one is still only Beta) to choose from, and if you were to make a generic 'patch' that was classed as a indepenant version... well you can imagine. If however you're using the term 'patch' to indicate you wish to mearly make a 'mod pack' then that has more merit, but again; people like to pick and choose.

Personally the only way I would download a 'pack' is to get something that pack offers, which isnt available as a single download.

One other aspect of this is rather simple, and is based on the same example I used with Josse's visability mod; if some machines cant handel it, or if this mod causes problems, as a indepentant download its easier to find, isolate, and thus eliminate problems.

LOL! Heey! Pablo Sniper and Paulo Hirth are not the same person, we are brasilian, i live in amazonas and he live 5000KM from me in South of Brasil.
About the idea, i like test all, sound by sound, mod by mod, and all month we have new versions and new mods.
But "Must have" mods path can be good idea.

MOD is LIFE!!

My idea with this is that PATCH serve to correct problems with the performance of some aircraft unfair and that this is not done by anyone but by the administrators of AAA.
And I think that the hardest hit are those cited above, and also think the PATCH must correct performance problems with the aircraft before it could not fly.
My biggest concern is really about the P-36 and Morane Saulnier, because they never had great performances but then to reduce further its poor performance is evil.
Due to MODS, very soon should have campaigns like "Battle of France" and with this performance is difficult even try to kill a BF-109E4 (know what was the E-3 who fought in France)
PATCH this should only contain the aircraft "THE GAME" which before could not fly and now we can and then starting each installs the MOD that want, but all have the basic.
In my point of view the PATCH should be composed of:of:

Wrapper
ENG_Sound_mod_Version_093
BOMBER_MOD_PACK_v3_4_IL2_1946
ACES_With_Cockpits_IL2_MOD
C47_With_Cockpit_IL2_MOD
A5M4_WITH_COCKPIT_IL2_MOD_v2
G4M2E_and_MXY-7_With_Cockpit_Gunners_v1_IL2_MOD
A5M4_WITH_COCKPIT_IL2_MOD_v2
AR_196A3-v1
FW-189_A-2_With_Cockpit_And_Gunner_v2_IL2_MOD
ME323_With_Cockpit_Gunners_v1_IL2_MOD
G11_With_Cockpit_v1_IL2_MOD
Ju-52-3mg_With_Cockpit_And_Gunners_v2_IL2_MOD
ME321_With_Cockpit_Gunners_v1_IL2_MOD
ME321_QMB_FIX
DB_MOD_PACK_v1
SB_2M-100A_And_2M-103_IL2_MOD
Neman_R-10_With_Cockpit_And_Gunner_IL2_MOD
MACCHI_202_With_Cockpit_IL2_MOD
MACCHI_202_Reticle_Correction_IL2_MOD
B5N2-KATE_And_B6N2-JILL_Cockpit_Bombsight_Gunner_v3_IL2_MOD

And changes in models of flight, but that must be discussed.

Rgr PabloSniper, I follow you now - forgive me; was sleep clogged. Infact I'll go one better to suggest multiple packs even, focusing on different areas perhaps...

As a side note, regarding the FM changes, even if managed by those we trust in the AAA administration; although changes to a LOT of aircraft are needed, these wont be happening untill new slots can be made for seperate aircraft... this will effectively mean that, yes, there will be TWO of the SAME aircraft in your list, but one of those two will be changed with the better specs - be it speed, manuvering, or whatever...

Untill then, all we can do is discuss it. Its gotta be like this to maintain a level playing field... however inaccurate that playing field actually is.

I for example, would love to see the mustang not do its little sharp flip stall... among other things...

So yes, I second the changing for more realistic speeds or anything else which is historically accurate myself, but not untill the new slots are figured out I'm afraid my friend, that we're stuck like this till then Sad

But never fear! We have a great team of modders here, who will figure it out! I'm positive of that much... and then one day we will have a true T-6 even Wink

Edit: by the way, have you checked out www.mission4today.com, and seen Rudia Jaeger's brilliant AT6/T6 harvard/texan skin hacks for the SBD? I also have one on my site I did, in a RNZAF "Red Checkers" theme for my squad - they might keep you ticking over untill we can get a lovely wee Harvard into the game Wink
