Missing objects?
#1

Guys,

I've just added a few of Fisneaky's building textures and added the new lines into my static.ini - went into FMB and now most of my objects dont appear visually when I click on 'show' in the little preview box ?

Not tried adding any to the actual map yet so they may well show up then, but where have my little preview pics gone ?

Are the new lines for the static.ini meant to be in some sort of order or just added to the bottom of the list? Could this affect the previews?

POMAK

Also - Only one type of engine appears when viewing trains ?

Does "Show" appear in black type or blanked out?

1) All of your standard objects should still show in the view window. Only exception being with FMB+ and Map and Airfield plates. Try inserting the object

If an object is given the wrong path , or theres a space in the filename etc. you won't be able to place that object. I've used the same folder name and path structure as in the AAA textures for skinning DL. ( New folders for clones were created within this structure, but shouldn't affect the standard game stuff)

Place an object and scroll through using PageUp and PageDown keys. Where there is a missing object ;the previously selected will show on the map till the next "live one". ( I usually scroll this way in 3D mode)

2 ) The order of objects in Static.ini only affects the (number) order in which they appear in the viewer. It's the paths in "Live" and "dead" that are all important.

Try using the original copy of static.ini (I hope you backed up - if not - DL default static.ini etc. )

Not sure why your locomotive has disappeared (I've not done one yet). What DLs did you install?

Ive posted a link to 4.09 static.ini add ins here.

Anyone using 4.09beta that has custom static, stationary or chiefs ini files should make sure the 4.o9 entries are included.
