Many is the time I have played a ntrk file back that has been recorded online, only to have it spoiled by the plane name or player name icon being in the shot (useless for movie-making).

Is there anyone out there who could look at this and see if it is possible to mod a switch into the game (or something?), that allows the switching off of icons in ntrk files AFTER they have been recorded.

I know I can switch the icons off before recording....but sometimes I forget (and so do others)....so is it possible?

If I'm not mistaken you can start a multiplayer mission (create own server->pick a map and launch) and toggle of the ID icons via the keyboard binding you have set for that in your controls. Whilst doing that, you can reduce the chatbar to minimum, making it invisible when playing your ntrk.

There is a line in the config.ini I believe hat would make this even simpler, but I can't remember right now.

Hi Zorin, yes, Toggle Icons is great if you remember to do at the very start of recording your track, but if you fly a mission with them switched on and record them (easier ID of bandits online), there is currently no-way of deleting them from an .ntrk file.

Icon basher, as has been said, works for trk files, but not ntrk.

Thinking out loud, what would the chances be of disabling the ntrk format for online flying and when you hit the quick record button it actually starts recording in the trk format?

This would then allow the use of Icon basher to remove the icons?
