Wow, very nice composite, mate. Reminds me of an image by "billybonez" on SSA/W. Very nice (both images)

Thanks a lot, Riga! Much appreciated, M8, especially coming from someone like you who makes some great images. Big Grin

For the record, if Billy has made an image similar to this I've never seen it. Everything I make is on the up and up. I don't steal and I don't copy. You haven't implied that I've done that but I don't want it to be at all ambiguous.

Billy makes some great stuff. He has his own style and he's a master of that style. My stuff tends to be more low key and less dramatic. Billy does a lot of really detailed stuff with light and with colors of light on his planes. I'm not into that. To each his own. Big Grin

Very nice idea M8 Wink

I think you could work more on colors of the planes to make them look more like the integral part of the picture, because in my opinion they still look more like computer graphic than like a real photo.

Btw, how to make composite screens? Smile Is there any guide to this techniqe, or is it just cutting the plane from screen and placing it on the photo? Tongue

Hehe, Fat Boy, don't worry - it just reminds me of it - Don't worry, its simply because the background is winter, and has the golden church things in the background, with an almost profile of a I16/153. They're completely different in composition, and style - it just reminded me

Oh, and elvenking, it depends - It does involve cutting out a screenshot and placing it on a background, but theres many more elements, depending on how complex and detailed you are willing to make it. If you want, you could always check out www.screenshotworld.com - they make some nice tutorials in order to help people - theres a brilliant cutting tutorial I have used on my latest unifinished composite.

It doesnt matter what the Rata is doing, its always a very photogenic plane. And this is a nice fine example of it too

Thank you very much, M8's! Very kind of all of you! Big Grin

I'm not into "real" very much, Elvenking. It seems like the majority of people like images that look "photorealistic". That's never really been a consideration for me. Once in a while I make one that looks kind of real by accident

Which editing program do you have, Elvenking :?: I, and I'm certain many others here, would be more than happy to share with you anything we know about making composites. Another good place for tutorials is www.screenshotprints.com They may actually have more tutorials at the moment than Screenshot World as SSW is relatively new.

Everything is OK, Riga. You never implied anything. That's just me and my strong feelings about not stealing or copying, M8

Thanks a lot, Magpie! Much appreciated, M8 Big Grin

If you run into something incomprehensible, which can happen with PS, just ask any of the guys in here who make composites, M8. Shooter would probably be the ultimate resource, if he has the time.

Nice work, Fat Boy. I hope someday you'll become a very productive and a true screeniesmaster...
Btw, I'm glad the "Russian Landscapes" photoes I sent to you came in handy to you!
If I'll find any other nice images of my country -- I'll send them to you... Hope they'll serve to you better than me... I decided to put away screenshot making for the future and return to skinmaking...

Best wishes,
Mangas.

Thanks a lot, Mangas! Most appreciated, M8! Big Grin

I just make 'em and post 'em, Mangas. Whatever comes or does not come from that is fine with me!

As luck would have it, that's an image I've had around for a long time. However, I'm certain that what you've so kindly shared with me will bear fruit in the future Big Grin

Yes, please, if you find any other good images of Russia please do share them Thanks :!: 8)

Of course, I'm happy that you are going to continue to make skins but play around with images if you have a spare minute or two. The two go well together.

Making a really great skin is harder than making a good image, IMHO. If it's an historical skin there's no room for artistic license as there is with images. So many small and precise details to deal with and the sum of all of those fine details is the difference between a good skin and a great skin! Now THAT takes some patience Confusedhock:

I'll be watching for your new skins, M8! They give me inspiration for images! Big Grin

All the best,
Fats
