I am looking for a Swastika Enabler ....
I have used the il2 Mat Manager only for the Swastika on German planes...I don't use anything else in the thing...


Anyway, It doesn't want to work with either the il2 1946 dvd version or the mod 9b1m setup.
I can not get it to point to the il2fb.exe even though have made a shortcut & renamed it to il2 or il2.exe or il2fb.exe or il2pf.exe etc...

The only thing I want is to have the swastika on the German aircraft . Some skins do come with the Swastika i know, & I can use them, but It is so much more nicer to have just a swastika enabler...

Anyone know of one??

look at mission4today.com, there actually is one. or use Il2Stab tool, it can enable it too. or use MATManager, it works fine with 1946 and also 4.09 and Mods, i am using it. it has to do with your install I assume.

IL2Stab is perfect to enable the swastika.

V.P... O.K., so mat manager does work on with 1946 & the mod setup...

could you tell me how you got the file path to get to the il2.exe.

I can not get the path to it. when I follow the path c:/Program files/ubisoft/il2 1946 the .exe file will not show up to direct mat manager to it..
I only get the folders in il2 & not the exe or any of those files...

I had to change the directions of the installer from Ubi Soft to Ubisoft where 1946 is, but it will just not work for me..

I have no idea what I have done wrong..

just copy and rename your il2.exe file.

go to your il2FB.exe in your main folder and Right ckick and drag icon . Choose copy here and re-name it from "Copy of il2fb.exe" to "il2.exe"

Mat manager should then find it from the folder path.

(Though I thought it was fixed in later versions to enable it to use either il2 or il2FB - long time since I visited its control panel)

the stand alone swastika enabler is called il2hk.exe and is probably still at M4T downloads

I did exactly that....so it must be something with the install.

I run the unzipper & when it asks i lead it to ......ubisoft/il2 ...1946..and hit the ok button & when I look in the 1946 folder il2 mat manager is there . I then run the installer.exe & it goes through the install, but when I try to run the desktop icon of mat manager it just wants the il2.exe pf or fb.exe
It is literally impossible to get it to the exe in the game because it won't show up so I can not click on it...

I am sure it is some small thing that I am doing wrong or not doing at all, but i have no idea what it could be...
I've uninstalled & reinstlled about 3 times now, but no joy..

I re-downloaded the mat manager again, but same-o same-o

i used il2hk.exe for several years, but the guy quit updating it and it just quit working for me a year or so ago.....

I'll get it & try again...That was the perfect thing...I do not care even one tiny bit for all that stuff on mat manger...lol..just the swastika thingie...

Took me about 4 installs to get mat manager running :roll:

Ended up uninstalling and starting from scratch and following the instructions on the homepage to the letter.

You should get the splash that asks for folder path first time you run. No need to go to the exe. in the top right of the tiny control panel you should check "FB"

if you are familiar with extractor ...


mod structure should look like :

\MODS\"decals or whatever you like"\PaintSchemes\decals\Germanhakenfake.tga

now just replace Germanhakenfake.tga (which is blank) with one you like ( of other present haken tga's)
