I always thought the dust from aircraft taking off is a bit on the severe side and one of the things Oleg goofed up on. I used to fly GA aircraft and never saw ANY dust blow up from the runway, let alone on a green grass runway!! Anyone interested in getting rid of this unrealistic frame rate reducer? Another downer is it postpones takeoff as you have to wait until it clears from the plane ahead of you.

That mod also makes the smoke from engine fires, etc, barely even visible! I mean, I can't even tell if my enemy is on fire anymore. So I got rid of the Ground Dust mod.
But others might have other opinions.
Is there a way to get only the dust modded and not all the other stuff? This "combination modding" may be some people's cup of tea, but not mine. Ideally we should be able to pick and choose what we want and not get things we don't care for or need.
Actually, Fearfactor, you can.
Open the Slipry_Mods_v1_0_IL2_MOD folder and find the MODS folder that is inside it. Open that and VOILA! 2 choices.
Drag your fave into the main game Mods folder and off ya go.
The only sure way to avoid unwanted mods is to avoid packs, go find the mod you want in its' singular state and add it.
Mod Packs are a necessary and popular way to get a lot of things in one go but they do have disadvantages for picky shoppers.
