I have three installs of IL2, all have a Mod folder inside.

Only one of them however actually produces sound!

I have no idea why, but I have no sound at all from the official Mod patch, but my Windows Environment plays music, so it's not a Hardware/Headset issue.

What or where can I look to try and fix this problem. I even re-installed the sound mod to the folder, but no change. I changed, using the file switcher, to 4.08 original/6DoF/then 4.091 etc, etc...no sound (and the Master volume is up in sound tab of the game)

Anyone?

...check il2setup ( for every installation separately) sound tab if proper driver is selected ( and other settings) .... check directx properties for direct sound and sound acceleration ... this is all i can think of right now

edit : compare conf.ini from installation which have sound to other two ( sound section)
