Could someone please tell me the filename & location for the user defined controls/keymaps?

I would like to backup the file. - some of the new mods seem to erase it it seems.

Mark, those settings are stored in the Users folder in your main game directory:
Mine = C:/Program Files/ Ubisoft/IL2 Sturmovik1946/Users.

Yours may differ depending on where IL2 is loaded.

I copy the settings file into any pilot folder I create too.

Unsolicited advice but you may also want to copy Missions and Skins folders too.

If you have a large collection of missions and skins it is worth it to put them on a disc.
