This is driving me nuts! I have no idea whatt's going on.Have tried everything , but figure one of you brighter guys knows the score.Ever since getting into mods I've had small map problems usually dealling with missing a All.ini line or two ...this could be the same...Anyway many of my old Mosquito Missions & one of the new ones refuse to load sighting Normandy Map error...one even gets me a CTD! The map I get see below is obviously one of the new ones( not the old one where England was merely an island off the coast) so I assume it came with one of the mod downloads, but I can't figure out which & if it is in my Maps folder what line of type do I need to get it to work? I've reinstalled the entire game once & can only figure I brought the error along when I copied in much of the Mods folder....HELP!

Here's the same map from a Pfeil mission ...but its the old map & it still works

This problem may be in other missions over Normandy ...I don't know , but I sure would like to solve it if possible!

Check the Normandy maps you have in your MODS/MAPMODS/maps/all.ini file

then open the missions in Notepad and check that the map is on your list...if necessary change the name of the map in the mission file to coincide with one of your maps

...hmmm, it seams to me that you have normandy2 map ( one with island) replaced with my "bob" map ... which should work w/o problems cos i have it replaced since day one and never had any problem with static, Dgen nor DCG missions.

Now, if you have mixed mods in normandy folder , there can be conflict .... but its hard to tell from your pics . By mixing mods i mean having installed vp media's default map upgrade pack + files from my BoB + LAL RONE's normandy + who knows what ....

So... disable present normandy folder ( mods\mapmods\maps\-normandy) ...try it out ..... make new normandy folder and place there one mod files at the time with testing ibetween steps .

I think you have messed your normady folder pretty bad.
1. Actors.static is way too small and in default normandy map there are 3 different actors.statics.
2.No map.c and map.c.tga files I cant see your load.inis but i think that is wrong too
I suggest that you remove all normady folders in mods/mapmods/maps folder to somewhere else and
download Fly Zo BOB from AAA and install it. Then rename that folder (fly_zo_BOB) to normandy and you should be fine.

ok, i assume you have tried to disable complete normandy folder as described in my earlier post and tried those missions . If they doesn't work then it's not just question of map mod .

As i said above , there is conflict with vpmedia default maps upgrade pack and having my BoB as Normandy ( at least there was in earlier versions , i haven't tried latest ) so you have to decide which one you prefer .

If you decide to have my Bob as Normandy do try as Kapteeni suggested , if vp media's version is more appealing to you , please do find latest version in his thread and consult him for any question you may have ( cos i'm not using that mod so it would be pure speculation from my side)

...do make backup of normandy folder before any action

Amazingly - I fixed it...by doing something on another map.... After installing this newest version of KTChannel this morning I re-labled KTChannel folder to Net8islands folder (after eliminating this folder,) as per instructions.Magically this seemed to solve everything with these Mosquito missions & gave me a dandy new landscape to fly over! I guess I can eliminate the badly flawed Normandy folder....yes?
Now to neaten up that pesky all.ini file!
