Now if we're talking simpits, well here's my little teaser, at least when I first created it.
I'll post up some more shots that'll include hardware components soon.
It took me about 10mths to build & in the end cost me around $900AUD ... & it's been worth every cent plus.
A bit of imagination, some $ & some time is what it takes.
My wife & friends have gotten over seeing the cockpit in the computer room long ago ... now its just a part of the furniture Smile

Cheers Smile
Sik

This is the basic finished simpit, modelled roughly on the F4U.

AWESOME to see these pits, hey Bolox, the two monitors you have on top of eachother, the one with Il2 and the one with devicelink? you know you can use that setup with running Il2 alone right? just doublechecking Smile

Here's mine, but it's also a workstation so not really a cockpit.

What I have as joystick is the HOTAS Cougar with an "FSSB" modification, for those who don't know what that is, it's a hardware you replace the chunky stock HOTAS parts with, and it's basically just a disc that calculates the pressure you give the stick, so the stick doesn't move at all, but it "feels" how much you're pressing, right left up down etc. jut like in a real F16.

EDIT:

This was my old test setup when Using the tripleheadgo, but the middle monitor was too big and the old triplehead2 go had no widescreen support, so I decided to wait. I'm still waiting Smile

yeah, could run both as dedicated IL2, but pit is also a work station so lower one is run from my 'work' 'puter, top from gaming rig. TH2GO one day maybe.

having 2 rigs/screens like that works well for me for pit repainting- ps on bottom screen and can compare ingame on top

Yeah, ok.. i'll bite Big Grin It's been seen elsewhere in various incarnations before..

42" main LCD - 19" secondary LCD, the rest of the stats are pretty mundane.. N52 Nostromo, TIR3, X52 pedals and controls. Looking to update CPU and video card from DC E6300 (1.87 ghz) to a Q6700 or whatever quad core and to a 9800 class card as soon as the shops renew their christmas stocks.
