How do you get rid of the plane shine mod?
#1

I have installed UI for the host of mods it contains. Most are excellent and I appreciate very much the work that has gone into these mods. These mods have regenerated this game for me. However over time I have come to the conclusion that the plane shine mod is a little too extreme and washes out the paint scheme too much. Looking through the mod folder I can't identify which mod actually does this and the UI readme doesn't seem to identify it. Can anyone tell me what the ID of the mod is and if it can be uninstalled?

Thanks for your help!

Avala_Planeshine1.2 in the MODS folder.

Rename it to -Avala_Planeshine1.2 and it will be disabled.

It's your own choice of course, but I have no idea why anyone would want to disable this mod. Smile

I think you can adjust the shine to less extreme.

Avala,

Well I am ashamed to admit that I thought the mod was included in the unified Installer but it wasn't. Thats why I couldn't find it. So I went looking for it and yesterday d/l the mod and tried it out. It works very nice and is not what I was experiencing in the game. It seems that some planes really have a bright shine to them in my game. I don't know what is causing this but it is not caused by your mod. My apologies to you and do not be offended. I think your mod is great and really does enhance the graphical realism of the planes.
