Need a bit of help
#1

Hi, i,m currently messing about with a map and trying to teach myself how to retexture etc, i,ve got a good grasp of the load ini files now but am having a bit of a problem with a coastline, when viewed at a distance i can see the white coastline

[Image: image1.jpg]

But with just a small scroll of the mousewheel the white coastline disappears

[Image: image2.jpg]

Now i,m guessing this has something to do with the textures reaching under the waters edge, is there anything that i can do to eliminate this at all? any help would be welcome TIA.

I dont think that you have done anything wrong. Try to set graphics to perfect and use openGL. Now you are using excellent settings.

[FIELDS]
...
Water0 = water/water.tga
Water1 = water/water.tga
Water2 = land/summer/fields_rock0.tga,2
Water3 = water/Beach.tga

I think that water2 or water3 (depends on the map) is missing in your ini file. Water 2 is usually for the rivers and water 3 for the sea.

Thanks vpmedia i've got that sorted out now, was a little confused on the water!
Kapteeni, i've got the game running in open gl but cant set the 'in game' video settings to perfect mode, the perfect mode option is 'grayed' out and doesnt allow me to select it, do you know why this could be?
