And another bullet hit sound
#1

This is not to compete with good folks like Paulo but I made this sound the other day and had forgotten that I did till I got shot at. Then I remembered because I almost fell out of my seat and my heart was pumping, I hope you all experience the same. This is my frist upload to AAA and I got the necessary pass from RAF_Magpie, so try the link and give it a go Wink

This sound file has been modified from the original to increase the amplification 3db for some aircraft.

Installation; drive/Ubisoft/IL-2 Strumovik 1946/files/Samples/you are there

Disable existing exp3_11 with a - or anything else that you'd like to use. I place the disabler after the file name to keep in in alpha order, example; exp3_11-

... downloaded it w/o problems

one suggestion for next mod ,though :

make a complete mod ready pack ( zip/rar/7z), game structure wise + readme file with info and instructions so it can get extracted directly to game directory ( or copied from some temp folder)

also put mod version in pack file name

Z

p.s.welcome to the modders club

You might have to give me a little help with how the order goes Fly. I know how to zip and as to the rest of what you said do you mean make a folder like Files/Samples/exp3_11 with a readme in the first folder and name it something like 'bullethit_MOD4.09'

I'm kind of new to this and I appreciate your advice and any other help you can offer Wink

You're welcome guys, looking forward to any and all emersion type stuff, Paulo you're top dog Wink

yup, that is exactly what i had in mind Big Grin

also you may include RRudger ( or something) in pack name along with mod version so we can easily track it down in our mods backup/storage folders .

something like this : RRuger_bullehit_snd_v1_0.zip/rar

I did what you recommended Fly_zo and the file is now changed to the proper file name, thanks Wink You might get a PM or two in the future about 'how do I do this' because me and another guy are working on some things that will make this sim even more great! The bullet hit is very, very minor Wink

TSUNAMI*22, some of the sounds are ok but it reminds me of Wyatt Earp at the OK Corral. I like a little more ambiance to the sound and the one that I made has a touch of sheet aluminun in it for obvious reason. I'm sure that some of the sounds could be modified to fit IL2 and the master Paulo will have some fun with that, thank you Wink

cyberolas, boy you have your hands full in that clip! I like what you are doing but then again I do like a little more ambiance and tho I think your bullet hits are great, I would probably crap my pants if I had that to face every time I got in a firball. Keep up the good work tho, variety is the spice of life and it never hurts to make a gillion sounds and let others personal tastes decide Wink

I just noticed something that I find disapointing, the hit sounds are tinny in the Spitfire but sound good in the Mustang. Does anyone know how I might fix this? I hate to put out a product that is only good to the creator, I'm bummed Cry

Thanks for the offer Fly_zo, we'll do Wink

Hi pehung ,
why are you digging out so many old mods ? 8)
Some of them might not be even working anymore since new latest game versions and some of the files change .
I just noticed you're posting in about every mod thread and some of them are quite old .
It's to be expected many links will not work anymore of course since many file hosts did
upgrade to their servers and removed files which were mostly no longer downloaded .
