Korean War Campaign - Screenshots
#1

Hi guys, i wanted to share with you some screenies i took a year ago from a coop campaign I created for the KTO. Fortunately with the new WIP MODS we'll be able to fake some planes a little better, like the F9F Panther (P80 with hook and most important, drop tanks) will be even easier to land on a carrier than the time we played that campaign, where we had to land it with no tailhook and a lot of practice Big Grin. And also with realistic KTO map...well, we only need better FM on a Ta183 and there is the Mig15  (Sure a new Mig15+Sabre+F9F would be nice...but while we wait...)

Anyway, here some screens from those days; the fake F9F, Mig15 and USAF pilot skins are mine too so if you like them just PM me and i can make a small pack and send them.

Heh heh. Yeah, they got pretty bored alright. This looks very intersting, as I've been working 19 mos on my own postwar 1948 project. I keep hoping for a P-80A with the brakes and tip tanks, though they weren't jettisonable on the P-80A, and I don't recall ever seeing a Panther without them either. Sure prompts alot of research when you start doing these kinds of projects. The P-80s on deck look really cool.

I used the Ta-183 as an La-15, which was the competitor tothe Mig. I figure the FM is so good that it's gotta be pretty close to the Mig-15. It does lend itself rather well to such use. Definitely outclimbs the P-80, which adds a bit of realism to said use.

Maybe this year we will be able to make a version of these post war projects with more appropriate aircraft. I know you put a huge amount of work into this.

Great stuff, all of these were ideas that I played with, dogfighting with Mc-205s vs Bf-109G-6 can really be fun for example.

ME262s in RAAF markings? I take it as Meteors?

I seem to remember someone here is working on a Meteor and Sabre, these 2 and the Mig15 and Korea will be a must have map for IL2!

Jackpot! Big Grin

For that campaign i made a couple of RAAF 77th Squadron ground attack missions; like radar suppresion ones. One more screenie for my Aussie mate. (Btw, would you go to Melbourne and ask the Tennis Grand Slam tournament officials to close the stadiums roof please? the players are melting in there  )

PS. I found all these KOREA 1950 screens in an old folder and i got a bit lazy to open them up in Photoshop...you are all free to go if you like.

You have an excellent eye for screenshots. some great framing and arranging, plus the desaturation looks really effective too.
