The UI 1.1 installer has the B-17 flyable and you can fly all the positions with the exception of the radio operator. with the new cockpit mod, the co-pilot position is now flyable, and, yes multiple players can fly in one plane, just like the B-25 can.

In CO-OP go to plane select before mission starts and there go to B17 if mission has it and put yourself into gunner position; all planes with gunners have gunner and pilot position writtern in plane selection...

yes, works only with UI and that mod what makes planes avaiable, cant remember its name...

I was wondering if there was any maps/missions that had the original B-17 missions in the European theater. Skins would be nice but not mandatory and the whole multiplayer in one ship thing would be totally awesome especially if it was a original WW II mission. Enquiring minds want to know, -JF-Sandman.

No no no!!! He's asking if more than 1 player can be in the same B17 (or other bombers for that matter), ala Aces High or World War 2 online.

and the answer is ...yes they can! in hyperlobby join a co.op that has bombers, and you can choose pilot or gunner in bombers

Cool!! What about the B-17 missions and maps for the WW II European theater? Any possibilty of anything or any one that might have such an item?
