I thought I'd give this Italian Camapaign available at M4 a try just because it uses one of our new modded maps & flying Biplanes is a bit of fun..
I downloaded it & installed along with all ( I think) the other requirements:Map,new hangers ,flags(?),Nations(?) & Infantry... but I no indication in the Start Campaign Menu that it'd folder is even there.I thought maybe it should be dropped into single missions..I just made a mistake thinking it was a campaign,but no, no indication that the new folder was even there ...no" Vado" title for a campaign showed up...Maybe once installed the campaign title is something else? Any other ideas out there?
There should be a "Vado_in_Abssinia" folder in your Campaign/IT folder.
It is in the download.
It is also necessary to edit static.ini, it should be in your Mods/STD/com/maddox/il2/objects/static.ini
Be sure there is only ONE static.ini in your game.
(But at first of all, be sure there is my campaign in your Missions/Campaign/It/Vado_in_Abissinia or VIA - I can't remember what is it called exactly.)
IT IS IN MY CAMPAIGN FOLDER FER SURE...BUT WILL GO BACK & CHECK THE STATIC FILE TOO..oH ONE OTHER THING THAT I MAY POST SEPARATELY AFTER DOWNLOADING THE OTHER REQUIREMENTS( NATIONS, FLAGS ETC ETC...)i NOTICED THAT THE COUNTIES LISTED IN SINGLE MISSIONS APPEAR TO ALL BE IN FRENCH.MUCH AS I LOVE MANY THING FRENCH,IWOULD LIKE TO HAVE THE ENGLISH BACK.i'M SURE THERE IS SOME SIMPLE WAY TO GET THIS DONE ( MAYBE FROM THE SIM SAVED ON ANOTHER DRIVE?)ANY ADVICE?
Check the ReadMe at first. You will find the links to all other downloads necessary there. Then check each download's instruction. It will work for sure if you follow the insstructions.
I think it is not possible to make my campaigns running unless you have stuck to all instructions properly. No one else has encoutered the same problems yet...
Editing static.ini may be a little tricky, but practice makes perfect.

Sorry bud, I know this is two times in one day but I can't get past a second or third mission in either KTO or AB campaigns and the Kondor Legion campaign refused to work altogether no matter what I did (there are no working installs available of the c-123 (?) available other than one from an Italian site and the less said about that one the better). My problem with the Abyssinia campaign is that it wouldn't recognize the map in the second mission and now I have black terrain and an aircraft skin for sky!? I'm running 4.09 with hsfx and sas latest buttons. I don't know what's going wrong here but my install (now three fresh ones and counting) really doesn't like your ini and ru mods I think. Are they mostly outdated now with latest UI, HSFX etc? See my post to you on M4T about XP-86/F-86 issues with Kim's Fagots. They are truly excellent pieces of work I just wish I could get them past mission two or three.
