il-2 chrashes at 60% but only on 4.09 and 4.08 mods on,when mods are turned off for both versions the game runs ok.

What was the last mod you installed before game quit working with mods on?
If you remember then delete it. ( Bf-109E1) was my problem, before the fix.
In any case, you must follow the install directions to the letter, or in most cases you get a 60% ctd.
Most of your mod problems will happen if something is wrong in one of these folders: Files or the STD folder which is inside your mods folder.
Worst case if you can't find the problem, delete your Mods Folder and your Files folder from your game an, reintall UI-1.1 installer, game should work afterwards.
"Note there are so many little things that can go wrong with-in these two folders if you install something wrong" so always make a back-up of a file that your are getting ready to change.

maybe it helps to get the newest aircraft installer, wich has the newest buttons-file,

Hans is correct also, the buttons is located in the STD Folder which is inside your Mods Folder.
Which again alot of crash problems could come from. I didn't want to get too deep, with out knowing what the last mod you installed when game started crashing.

Mine is in my il2root/files/gui/game folder.
