Is ShipPack 2 still supported by UI 1.1?
#1

I have not been able to make ShipPack 2 worked since I upgraded to UI 1.1. Has any one had any success with this and if so, how?

I run Shipack 2 with UI 1.1 without any problem
I heard some get trouble with it; I installed it following the instructions, as far as I remember the is lines to add in various folders manually (like to install F80 or Miles Magister for example), and it works.
I think it could be the same old problem of compatibility with other mods....
In mods world every people as a different computer config and something working propely with ones won't work for others.

Have you updated the required files in your 'MODS/STD' folder ?

If so, and nothing happens, look for a 'DAMAGEMOD2' folder in your MODS folder and temporarily disable it to see if it changes anything. To disable the folder, simply add a ' - ' in front of the title ( -DAMAGEMOD2 ).

The files in that folder conflict with those in the 'STD' folder and seem to take precedence over them, so modifications made under 'STD' have no effect oin the game.

That's according to my own personnal experience...

It also has a conflict with hellzones moving dogfight.
And for that reason not included in the UI 1.1

Thanks guys for your suggestions. I did look for DAMAGEMOD2 in my MOD directory, but did not find it.

I am still trying to get ShipPack2 to work. It is hard to accept that it worked before U.I. 1.1 but does not work now. Especially given that ShipPack2 is working for others using U.I. 1.1.

I install ShipPack2 again and, as before, the game crashes before loading. Then I deactivated the chief.ini file as shown in the subject above. I made no other changes. When I ran the game again, it loaded with no problem. Of course, it also loaded without ShipPack2. Still, I don't know what the problem is with the chief.ini file. Is there a conflict with something else? Do I need to change something in the file?
